Good evening all,

Will my new AMD 4200

AMD CPU AM2 Athlon 64 Dual Core 4200 Retail Box inc Fan, Socket AM2 940 PIN, Energy Efficient (3yr Manufacturers Warranty) - ADO4200CUBOX - www.microdirect.co.uk

come with a heatsink etc etc.. It says fan inc, will it come with a heatsink??

Also, even if it does will i need to dissemble it and apply thermal paste to the CPU...

its retail so it will come with one, and it will come with either a thermal pad/thermal paste pre-applied to the Heatsink.

If i may suggest Get some arctic silver.I got the same cpu in my pc and it runs 44C idle and shuts off from heat with games.Stock stuff stinks.

i would also reccomend AS5. But that would mean removing the old stuff and applying it.
