I just built what I thought was my dream gaming system to play World of Warcraft and other games and mmorpgs, but I just barely got it running and I keep on getting the dreaded blue screen of death. It would run for maybe 10-30 mins and then I'll get the
BSOD. The microsoft help page diagnosed it as a device driver issue each time I recovered from the crash.
I've gone to the webpages of all the manufacturers and downloaded all the recent device driver updates and installed them, other than BIOS updates (which I'm worried about 'cos of all the crashes) but I'm still experiencing the problem. Other than firefox I don't have any other programs installed.
Would registry cleaners like Regcure and RegistryEasy help? Their ads claim to help but I'm doubtful. I've already run Regcure once so far. And about to run a microsoft debugger after I make this post.
I have an ASUS Crosshairs motherboard, an eVGA GeForce 8800 640mb video card, AMD Athlon 64 X2 5600+ processor, 4gb
Ram.
I would post the parameters posted by the
BSOD but it goes to restart way too quickly for me to take it down.
