Hello. I'm having two problems with the PC I built 2 months ago.
The first problem is with the moniter. Recently I was trying to figure out what the problem with my computer was. In the process, I got really frustrated and pressed some of the buttons on random (on the moniter). I'm pretty sure that it was that stupid move that caused a "burn-in" mode to activate inside it. I start it up, and it shows "Burn-in" on the screen instead of searching for an input. Then the entire screen turns red, blue, green, black, etc. and rotates about every 3-4 seconds. This is really annoying since it is the only working moniter I have at home. If anyone has heard about this type of problem and knows a solution, I'd greatly appreciate the help. (I've tried the obvious like unplugging and then plugging it in again.)
I wasn't sure where to post this second problem so I'll just add it to this post. My computer was working fine for about two months after I built it. This was my first build but I think I did okay for a first timer. Anyway, the problem now is that my monitor wouldn't detect an input/signal even when it wasn't stuck on "Burn-in". At first I thought it was my GPU. (P.S. Never buy "reduced price" items at Frys) I went back and was able to get them to exchange it for a completely new one. Even with the new GPU, it still won't work (I took my whole system to a relative's house and tried it there). I've read on various websites that the problem could be with my motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, or HDD. Please keep in mind that everything else starts up (fans, lights, etc.) but I get a "No Signal" message on my monitor.
I'd really appreciate any help ASAP. I have a very important assignment to do before the 6th of September!
*begs for help*
Thanks in advance!
