Thumbs down New Homebild problem

Hello all, i am building a pc from scratch for the 2nd time and have run into an issue. When i turn the newly assembled pc on it beeps. it does beep, pause, beep, pause, beep, pause...constantly. The CPU fan and fan inside the psu are working. i have checked & rechecked to make sure the ram is plugged in correctly. what else should i check? when i plug in the monitor it does not output a signal to it. thanks guys!

Hi,

Have a look here: http://www.pchelpforum.com/motherboa...odes-bios.html and see if you can identify the beep spacing.

thanks for the reply, unfortunately i did read that sticky and i counted up to 20 beeps. Then I just quit counting, and it kept beeping. I am thinking that i must have something not hooked up right since it is a brand new system. I do not have anything plugged into the mobo for a system fan, dunno if that could be it. i am just not sure what the problem is

Some motherboards will not boot if there is no fan on a particular header...crazy I know. Re-read the manual and see if that is the case.

Also, carefully replace everything..slowly checking for fit and connection.

i believe i may have found the issue. The motherboard has 2 pins for the msg led. The cable coming from my case however should plug into 3 pins. it has a pin, space, pin. does anyone know how i remedy this problem? do i need to pull the wire out and replace it so the plug goes pin, pin, space and have the space (which would allow me to plug it into the mobo) i have been attempting to google this issue with limited results... thanks in advance!
