i mean, tha tlist i made earlier were some of the cheapest components out there for what you need to do, and the proc you want is double that processors price. that dvd drive is fine, i only picked the otehr one because it used SATA instead of IDE

Yea....i knowthe price of the processor is HIGH.....but many ppl that say to go along with the quad specially if you have no plans to upgrade later (which is my case)......and also considering the fact that many softwares and GAMEs in future will be making use of it and that is according to many forum users and review magazine......so i dont mind spending the little extra to get a hand on Quad core @ $296

ok. this is everything. you now have to decide what operating system you want. Vista, or XP. Vista is about 120 dollars more expensive, but if you dont want to upgrade in the future, i would recommend Vista, because XP is old, and will soon be discontinued

sorry its a little on the expensive side, a bit over 950 dollars, =P but these are all, good, reliable components, and they should give you excellent performance in the years to come. There are few components that cheaper ones, that would server your purpose, and last. sorry.
