Hello Valjesnet, Welcome back to the forum

What codec pack did you install? One I always use is CCCP, you can find the link in my signature.

What software are you trying to view your DVD on? I have never had a media player ask me to adjust resolution before?

Try the CCCP codec pack mate and if that doesn't work I will mark this as open to get a techs opinion for you

Regards,

Smokeycheech

What model do you have?

It is important for HP/Compaq systems.

Should be on the small white sticker on the bottom in this format:
AAxxxx aa (LetterLetter NumberNumberNumberNumber letterletter)

Hi
According to the specs, the panel on your system
(HP Compaq 487281-001 (Glossy) 14.1" WXGA) should be able to play on 1280 x 800 resolution.

Have you used any non-native resolutions?

Also, here is the link to your product's page from HP, addressing DVD issues
