Angry CD Drive Error

Hello, I got a HL-DT-ST RW/DVD GCC4481B CD/DVD Drive. On SOME CD's, it says, "D:\ is not accessible" and below that, "Incorrect Function". This gets REALLY ANNOYING when im trying to find a blank cd or trying out cd's.

Note: This happens on SOME Compact Disks, not all of them like this (thank god)

Hey there SegaDude!

On those CD's that give you the error message, have you tried those in another drive yet?

Do you get the same error? Also, the obvious, of course.. no noticeable scratches and such on the CD's in question...

I'll go ahead and mark this open.. there is sure to be someone who will have an answer for you.

Thanks for your patience

Hello Segadude!

Sir Trews question still has merit though - even with a non-identical CD drive. Do the CDs/DVDs that give you fits on this drive work anywhere else?
