How do I remove the optical drive on a Sony Vaio VGN-CR11Z/R laptop? The lappy is no longer under warranty and while Sony provide no useful information on how to do this task (unlike Dell) they charge £100s to replace it for you. Other manufacturers simply have several holding screws accessible from underneath the lappy but not Sony. I have searched the Web but not fallen across the answer. Do I enter from above, under the keyboard, or from below, and remove the entire lower case?
