We can certainly help with an issue like this, but we must have more information.

You state the drive is an LG.. ok, what model? Internal or external?
What system are you trying to use this on?
What Operating system are you using?
Which CD Burning Program are you using?

You state that you 'stopped that process'.. exactly how did you do this?

If you stop a process incorrectly, you will run into problems with how the program speaks to the OS, regardless of what it is.

Please provide at least this much information and we will see what can be done.

Prgrm for burning : Nero 7 essentials
I put a CD RW in the drive and burning a movie from the hard disk.
As it is taking time while burning the movie from the hard disk, I interrupted and removed the CD RW from the drive.

Now the Drive is recognizing only DVD disks.
