Hi! I just moved my PC to a new location and now my DVD rom's tray have that stuck problem where I need to use a paperclip to stick it into that small hole in order to get it open. But I have to do this every time I need the DVD rom and I have this save problem with my other DVD rom before. Is there a way to fix it?

I don't know what causes it, but I've had this same prob before with other optical drives, I'd just as soon replace it. DVD Rom or even better DVDRW drives are very cheap now

Hi I can tell you how to fix it when the drive is open look under the tray you will see a black rubber band there it gets stretched over time or wears out you can replace it or put a little belt grip on it works to.
