Hi, my computer recently went down so i purchased a laptop, but, the dvd drive which was in my computer is far superior to the one which is in my laptop, so i was just wondering is there any cable you can purchase to use an internal dvd drive, as an external one, on the laptop, preferably via one of the usb ports.

You're in the UK which makes it tougher...
but what you want is a drive enclosure---so you can convert the existing drive to an external... I post this site as an example (seem a bit pricey to me)
