Smile dvd rom driver advice needed

Hi there, i'm having a problem. my dvd rom is not functioning properly. in computer management it reads "code 39 : windows cannot load the device driver for this hardware, driver maybe corrupt or missing"

please need some help as i really need to reinstall windows and need the dvd drive to do it. thanks

Hello and welcome to PC Help Forum.

I think you need to download the drivers for your CD/DVD drive.

A regedit is proberly not the cure.

You can click on the free driver button above and let me know which drivers is required,or go to your PC/Laptops manufacturers website and download from there.
