Yes I used the flash installer to take care of them. Then restarted my computer like they prompted me to do. And still nothing.

It seems as if your PC's cd/dvd drives are having problems reading that cd for some reason. Can you access another PC and make a backup copy of the cd which is legal because you own it and try the backup copy in your PC to see if it will read the new copy on a different cd.

Well its A DVD Rom CD and the comps I have access too dont have DVD Burners. Not to mention that I tried some DVD's out and they were having some trouble too. Could a wire be loose or something?

No it won't be a loose wire I'd say it maybe worn out. They are very cheap and easy to replace. The only thing you can check is that the ribbon cable is connect between the drive and mainboard. Well Im out of Ideas. I looked inside the tower and to my luck, Nothing was disconnected. Everything looked fine....I dont know what else to do, aside from getting a new DVD-ROM drive is there ANYTHING else I can do? Filters to turn off? I ran a CD cleaning software and that made no difference either.

I found out what kind of cable my DVD drive runs on. Its an IDE cable, the long white ribbon strip one. I think I also managed to scrape together some money for a new drive if that is the case, can you still help me out Matt?
