hi i got this dvd drive its a rewritable multi player and it can do anything read dvd play dvd's play games e.c.t but when i put any type of blank disk in it does the reading sound to say its loading then the sound stops nothing happens i can go into my computer and double click on it and it will say please insert a disk this will happen with any type of blank disk any ideas anyone thanks

What are you trying to do with the blank?
If there's nothing to read-- autoplay won't work.

i trying to put old stuff on them off my com like movies i have had for ages but no luck

first... did you open "my computer" and see if the dvd is listed there?
if it is just double-click the file-- of course you need dvd decoder app to play them.
What did you use to burn them to disc?

HI welcome to PCHF most PC's come with nero software loaded on them so you can burn. Has your's got nero? check under the programs menu

no i havent got nero i used to all i used to do was put it in and copy straight to it by draging the items in and click on copy but even if i go on my computer the icon isnt there saying that there is a disk in the drive if i double click on it it says there is no disk in disk drive E please insert and try again.

That's why it won't work... windows explorer-- you're just copying files-- not encoding DVD for play-- you need a Burner app.
