howdy i've just bought 10 verbatim double layed dvds 8.5gb 2.4 xspeed 240 mins. but i'm not sure if my burner can work with these dvds. i could just try it and see what happens but i would like to return them if they dont work and once opened shops are a bit funny. anywhere i can look on my pc that will tell me if i can burn these dvds without opening the packet

Heya McMightyMouse,

All you have to do is look on the front of your DVD burner. If it doesn't have a DL after the DVD+RW then it isn't a dual layer burner.

If you look at this picture, you can see what it should look like under the grey RW square.
