Hi guys !! My name is Sparknight, and I have a problem. I rent Oblivion yesterday, knowing my configurations would be correct, but my CD/DVD Rom didn't read the DVD. I tried other DVDs such as Lord of the Ring: The Fellowship of the Ring , and another movie that I don't remember the name, and they both don't work. By not working, I mean the driver tries to read the DVD, the little light shine but then nothing. And when I go in My Computer the driver says there is no CD/DVD in it. Still nothing when I open it. I first thought it was broken, but I tried CDs and it works, so i'm clue less...

I've tried a couple of things but it didn't work... Anybody have a clue ??

CD\DVD drives have two lasers. One for CDs and one for DVDs. It's highly likely that your DVD laser has broken. There are a few things you could try tho'.

1) Replace the IDE (ribbon) cable that goes from your motherboard to your CD/DVD drive
2) Buy and use a DVD cleaning disc

Thanks, I appreciate a lol your answer but... I just noticed that I made a mistake, it's not a CD/DVD Rom, it's a CD Rom... I was sure it was a CD/DVD Rom...
