hi

is there any way i can connect my desktop's dvd-drive to my laptop without buying any accessories? what i mean is taking out the dvd-drive out of my processor and connecting the wires to the laptop.

if i can only do that using accessories, then what do i have to buy?

to PCHF.

In order to advise you, we need to know the make/model of your Laptop
and the make/model of the DVD drive.

Off the top of my head, I doubt what you want to do will be likely due to size restrictions.
Your best bet would probably be to buy an external DVD with USB connection capability. Then, it would work with either computer. However, send us the make/model info and maybe someone will be able to more directly help you.
