Unhappy Strange CD/DVD problem

Have a QDI Advantage-10T motherboard. When booting from a Windows 2000 HD all is fine.

When booting from XP-SP2 the CD is exclaimtion marked in device manager with the message "Code 39 - driver maybe corrupted or missing"

So it has to be an XP problem, I think, but I've searched and can't find anything appropriate to fix it.

I've done the fix thing as suggested at the top of this forum/group but it didn't work

Any ideas??

Hi elpmek,

what CD drive do you have? Exact details would be fantastic

I have an assortment of DVD ROMs, CD/RWs and CD's all different manufacturers. All work when booting with the Win 2K disc. None work when booting with the XP disk.
