Default Problem with installing "a new dvd-writer device"

A few days ago my dvd-writer read all the cds and other things but now..
I have this problem in my device manager:

Windows cannot start this hardware device because its configuration information (in the registry) is incomplete or damaged. (Code 19)

Click 'Check for solutions' to send data about this device to Microsoft and to see if there is a solution available.

DVD-writer: Matshita UJ-845D
Laptop: Acer Aspire 5024WLMi
OS: Windows Vista Ultimate

A little picture of that problem:

Can anyone fix that? I've tried a lot of things.. removing registry keys, and so on.. tried to find firmware for that but not with success.
I would really appreciate if you could help me

you try uninstall and reinstall Secondary and Primary IDE Channels and see if that fixes it. Could be related but not 100% sure.

I solved it only when I uninstalled and reinstalled Windows Vista cleanly.
