I recently replaced my CD-R/RW with a DVD-R /RW but am finding that it wont play any of my games.
I've burnt a couple of DVD with it but it wont let me load any PC CD or DVD games
I've installed the latest drivers have changed from XP to Vista though I'm not sure if that has anything to do with my problem.
When I intially replaced my old CD-R/RW I had a similar problem,I was messing around with disc management and I cant remember what I did but it made it work fine.
Since I installed Vista I've been back to sqaure one with my new DVD-R/RW.

Just a couple questions to get us started. What's the speed of the drive (2x, 4x, 8x, 16x, 32x, etc.)

Also, are the DVDs you've burnt the games?

What happens when you try to load a game?
Do you get any error messages?

The games dont load and when I try to open the games in "My Computer" by clicking on the CD icon it freezes my up the "My Computer" screen.
The only games that are working on my system are my Steam ones that dont run off a disc.

Hrmmm....when the computer freezes, does the CD spin up? the read light on the drive go on?
