Default Refuses to boot into DOS so i cannot flash BIOS

I am using the W98 startup disk, and it checks it but continues right on into windows. I checked to make sure it is set to boot A:\ first, but it wont work. I tried burning the Startup disk files to a CD-R and tried booting it off that, but it wont work. I cant get it to go into DOS on boot up. please help, i need to flash the bios and i cant until i get it to go to DOS.

Hey AW_3_3!

Are you sure all hardware is detected by your BIOS?

Like your floppy drive and CD/DVD-players?

i would love to do a in-windows flash. But i dont think my motherboard supports it unless there is a program that can do it with any mainboard. YEs, it sees all the stuff because it shows all the IDE drives in post, and then checks the FDDs with a short buzz on them, and i use both of them in Windows.
