Default CD/DVD Audio Problem

This is weird - When I play cd audio from my dvd rom or dvd r/w, it sounds great. If I play a dvd through either of them, the audio seems to play back at 2x speed or so, and it's choppy...Any ideas what the cause is?!? Thanks all, - Shep

Windows Media Player 10, Aplle Quicktime 7(I think?!). Even a DVD by Thompson Course Technology w/ it's own player does this....The more I listen, it does sound as though tyhe player is playing at 1x speed, it's just so broken up it sounds fast to me. Thank you for the response and friendliness, people here have been gracious! - friends call me Shep
