Is this a dvd drive in a PC? If so..what make/model is it and what software are you using to watch the movies?

Hi tom_b...

in regards to your copy right protection error...try running Start -> Run -> sfc /scannow You need to be careful with reg files, as they are extremely dangerous unless you know exactly what they do.

And what program to use? There's a program out there that is exactly what you want...it's called DVD Genie. It's now fairly old, and I don't think the program has been updated in a while, but it worked beautifly when I used to use it. Now I have a region free dvd player hooked upto my TV and used that instead .
