Hello, my dvd player just recently (past couple of weeks) started skipping. It skips with audio and video, with dvds and cds. It still reads games and burns ok though. I have tried playing both forms of media in different players, (windows media, real player, pwer dvd) andthey skip in any of the players. Any help and guidence would be greatly appreciated

Are the discs clean, and not scratched?
Or maybe the lenses are dirty , you could try running a special cleaning disc. (available at every pc/music ect. store) But since there is a separete lens for dvd's, and one for cd's, and it happends with both i don't think that will be it.

Or it could also be that youre processoer is being used for the full 100% at the times of the skipping. Have a look in youre taskmanager to see if that is the case.
