@ Madrab. Are you using SATA or ATA hard disk. If not, the fact that you have two CD/DVD drives running and an IDE HDD tells me that you have at least 2 IDE controllers on your motherboard. Check your BIOS by repeatedly pressing either delete or f2 upon system power on, otherwise there should be a prompt "press [whatever] key to enter startup" and make sure both your IDE controllers are enabled.
Or, try putting the dvd rom on the same IDE ribbon as your hard drive (set DVDROM to slave) and reboot, if it appears then you may have some harware problem...i stress MAY, i have a much easier time with these types of problems when i can see the machine:computer_. Well madrab keep heart because when we get to the bottom of this a whole bunch of us are going to smack ourselves in the foreheads, I've noticed that these types of problems are often the result of one piece not being plugged in correctly or a Bios setting not quite right

. On that note, check all your cables and make sure all your compnents are plugged in properly.
@Sniper, after mentioning the SATA drive 0 you mention two other primaries are they also SATA or IDE?
