My dvd-rom plays games and audio cds fine, but won't play dvds. When I put the dvd in, it sounds like it's loading, but never does. It was working fine and then it just stopped working, Anyone know whats wrong?

Do your games auto-run or do you have to click on a shortcut to get them to startup?

Actually know the games don't play either. Sounds like its loading and then stops.

ok go into your computer right click on the DVD drive the click on properties and see if Auotplay is enabled..

ok lets try this first.... Right click my computer.. Click on manage... Then click on Device manager.. Find your dvd/drive and right click on it and click uniinstall, and reboot. Lets see if windows can fix the problem by itself first..

It could also be a dirty lens. There are 2 lences in there , one for cd and an for dvd so if one is dirty then the other could still work.
You could try a dvd cleaning kit.
