Hi as u mite guess im new to this, the other day i brought a dvd rom deive and succesfully installed it etc the software i got free with this dvd drive was "InterActual software" the problem i have now is when i try playing dvd's i get a message saying "Playback failed due to a problem with the video subsystem. Lowering your screen resolution or color depth may fix the problem" i tried lowing the resolution but with no joy i then checked their help website and it has a post saying that the software doesnt include a decoder, and now i think i dont have a decoder on my pc? i not long had a new motherboard installed aswell and as far as i can see it says nothing about decoders? Can anyone help?

As far as I know Interacruall does gave DVD decoder software? I use WinDVD but you would think the software would come with mpeg2 decoding software as well.. You can try downloading this codec pack...

just to let u folks know ive seen a "Real magic MPEG-2/ DVD decoder" for sale and the bloke who's selling it said it should make my dvd rom drive work, ne chance u guys know if this is true or not?
