I downloaded DVDFab and tried it. it went through the reading process fine then popped up with a box saying 'Failed to burn DVD. Do you want to burn again?' i just clicked no because i know better there is something wrong and i'm thinking it may be my burner because i've used program after program and still can't get it to burn.

I just asked it but i'll put it here again just incase you didnt see it. The burner is 4 years old. it reads DVD9 discs. would there be a reason it could read them but not be able to burn them? i just don't get it.

thank you

It sounds to me like the the drive is pooched Troy, it may read ok but at 4 years old it's getting a bit long in the tooth.
