Question Recording Error

Recording Error that’s what comes up when I start to burn a CD.

It starts off fine it looks like its working but within 30 seconds it ejects the cd and says there was a problem writing the disc. I checked the disc and it wasn’t dirty or scratched I even went out and bought some new discs but still nothing. I tried to make a data disc and it ran threw all the way to the end and then right before it was done the same message appeared.

So now I ask you knowledgeable people ,what’s a man to do to get this thing working again?

Default Re: Recording Error

A few possibilities, first off, is your drive a CDR or CDRW drive? It may sound like a no brainer but trust me, it's a common problem, I can't tell you how angry I was trying to burn CDs on a DVD-ROM drive because I didn't know there was a difference.
If your drive has writing capabilities it could be bad, this was a problem we had with the PC in our office.
You might also try updating your burning software, if you have any
