Default DVD burning question

is there a such thing as a DVD player that cant read burned DVDs? i doubt it lol.

But heres the thing i converted an avi file to DVD format (which worked fine. I opened the new DVD file and the folder contains two folders Audio_TS and Video_TS (the normal folders you see when you put a dvd in a pc and right click to explore it) the audio TS folder is empty (i put in an original dvd and noticed the audio ts folder in the original dvd was empty as well so i guess thats normal), the video_ts folder had the usual IFO and VOB dvd files.. to i burned the audio ts and video TS FOLDERS onto a blank dvd and put i in my dvd player and it wouldnt recognize or do anything with it. So I tried it on my playstation 2 as well (ive bought bootleg copied dvds of teh street one before and they ran fdine on my ps2) in the ps2 it still didnt work.

So how do i get the dvd i burned to work in a traditional should i have instead of burning the folders, just opened the video ts folder and burned all the files that were inside the folder onto the dvd (instead of burning th folder with the files in it burn the files inside the folder straight to the dvd instead) or what?

its not an original dvd im backing up, its an avi file that i used ConvertXtoDVD to convert it to DVD format then i burned the Audio and Video TS folders onto a DVD and put it in a DVD player to see if it worked it didnt work so now im asking how to do it properly so that it WILL play on a standard dvd player

I'm not sure with ConvertXtoDVD I use Imtoo avi to dvd converter it works perfectly I'm using it right now but its not free. Maybe one of the other guys in the forum will be familiar with ConvertXtoDVD

yeah i used to have imtoo on my old computer (never actually used the convert avi to dvd though but i know it had the feature.... when you convert and burn using that if you double click on the burned dvd in my computer does the first screen show two folders (audio ts and video ts) or does it show all the random IFO and VOB files?

so then when you click on the dvd drive that the dvd is in the first thing that pops up is the audio ts and video ts folders? also is the audio ts folder empty and does that dvd work in a dvd player (assuming you have one) not a pc dvd player but a normal dvd player you hook to a TV lol

yes all the files are in the VIDEO_TS and the AUDIO_TS is empty and it plays in a normal home DVD player.

use nero burning rom in dvd video mode and it will play also keep the burn speed down to 6 or lower to get a good stable burn
