Pro,s and conns of internal CD/DVD roms.

Internal is fine you just plugin the cables and install drives.Less likely to get damaged.

External,well you would have to have an appropriate working port.They are portable you can also buy external floppy drives wich I find very usefull when working on other peoples computers.

If you own several computers each say with only a CD/DVD rom installed,then buying and external CD-R/DVD-R would be very usefull you could plug n play on all your PCs as long as the correct drivers and software was installed.

Cost less money having the external drive as you do not have to fit an internal to ALL your computers.

They can be a bit more costly than internals but in the long haul can save you money.
