Quite new so bear with me.
Burner Liteon 20x DVD/CD WRITER/REWRITER.

Does this 20x mean i have to buy cd's & dvd's with 20x write speed or is lower or higher
better or if specifacations say i need say 12x for re writing would higher or lower matter
or is it just trial and error.

You should be fine with any speed media, the # on the disk means that is the fastest that the CD/dvd can be written to

Just another thing can you tell me if i should be able to burn cd's and dvd's with this model as stated in opening thread.

I'd think so "writer/rewriter" .

Do i have to use dual layer cd's & dvd's to write too ? with the aformentioned burner.

That depends on the model, do you have a link to the burner you have/bought?

Only asking because ive tried burning with normal dvd's & cd's but iy will not burn no matter what
programme i use and am about to send it back and would look a bigger fool if i was trying thr wrong discs.
