Hey Souluna,
First I would try some other software. This software is compatible with Vista and it's free. Give it a shot -
BurnAware Free Edition - Reviews and free BurnAware Free Edition downloads at Download.com
The next thing to try is uninstalling your DVD drive and also your Primary and Secondary IDE controllers. Do it in this order, delete DVD drive, then Secondary IDE, then Primary IDE.
You can get to the device drivers by hitting Start, Control Panel, then click Hardware, then click Device Manager. Or if you have a Windows/Start key on your keyboard, hold that and then hit Pause/Break.
Once you're in device manager, open up DVD/CD-ROM drives and delete the DVD drive. Then open up IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers and delete the primary/secondary IDE controllers.
Be sure to leave the BurnAware software on. Then reboot the computer and Vista will reinstall all the drivers automatically.
Hopefully then, you'll be able to burn.
Let me know what happens!
