Default DVD Burner won't work.

Hi folks, I have just bought a Samsung DVD burner model SES204N. When I put a blank disc in and try to access the burner from windows explorer I get a E is not accessible, incorect function error. Any ideas? I am trying to backup my movie DVD's.

Yes it is. Some more info since my last post. I have downloaded a decrypter and it seems that the burner hardware is working. Now when I try to burn a disk the burner will write and stop part way in and flag an error. That's it it says Burning stopped there was an error. No fault codes or anything. Any info appreciated. Thanks.

The usb port on your PC's is it USB2 or USB1 ? maybe it is on a USB1 port which maybe too slow and cause this type of problem
