howdy i've just bought 10 verbatim double layed dvds 8.5gb 2.4 xspeed 240 mins. but i'm not sure if my burner can work with these dvds. i could just try it and see what happens but i would like to return them if they dont work and once opened shops are a bit funny. anywhere i can look on my pc that will tell me if i can burn these dvds without opening the packet

do you have a dual layer dvd burner drive? If so it should be fine, give it a try.

thats sort of my question where do i go to find out if i have a dual layered dvd drive ?

Go into device manager (right click My Computer > Manage > Device Manager)

Look for 'DVD/CD ROM Drives', post what's listed under there and I'll check.
