I have an aspire 3690 with vista home basic OS.
I also got nero 7 installed

But about 1 week ago, i tried to burn 3 dvd's onje after another.
It burned the first 2 with no problem. But after trying to burn the last one (It was a blank dvd rw) my notebook got stuck. I could do anything unless I remove the disc.

At the same time, nero and all basic burning programs does not burn anything.

I have restored my notebook and reinstalled the nero. And now my notebook is burning again. But it can't read it's own burned discs.

Can someone please help me with this problem?

If those are from before the reinstall-- they were probably burned wrong due to corruption in Nero or XP-- means those are useless,I'm afraid. RW discs can be reused-- erase em.

Badly burned discs are called "coasters" --as in drink coasters.

Yes i know, but I can't erase them. It hangs my notebook as soon as I insert it.

I forgot to mention... I traid to burn at least 5 other empty discs..... But still the same thing happens.

Thank you for telling me about coasters.....Will make explaining easier
