Default ISO question

Lets sasy i had an ISO but didnt wanna get a virtual drive to use that iso... could i just burn that ISO onto a DVD RW (since its a DVD ISO) then put that DVD RW in my DVD drive and teh program would run just like its original DVD? or is theer a "special" way i would have to put the ISO onto a DVD so the DVD RW would function just as the original DVD would.. and what program/how would i Go about doing that? I currently have MagicISO but im not sure if using that program to burn the ISO image onto the DVD would have the results Im expecting.

There used to be a program called CloneCD / CloneDVD that worked really well...but I believe that program has long since died.

Other then that....virtual drives are fine.

Even if Im using the unpaid for/free/unregistered version of MagicISO?.

Also to put the ISO onto the DVD using magic ISO Id just go to tools, click on burn CD/DVD with ISO, select my DVD writer, then in the bar under that put in the ISO image file, select the writing speed (btw whats the recommended writting speed for a DVD?) on format Id click mode 1. then check the boxes for test writing, burn proof and finaslize CD (i have no intention of putting anything else on the DVD after that ISO), click on burn it then when its done If I put the DVD RW i just burned into the DVD drive the ISO i put on teh DVD should run just like the original program would without me having to do anything special too it?

Also how much space does a DVD RW contain cause the ISO is 4.30 gb... but when i put a movie on DVD that i recorded from windows media center i had to drop the quality for it to be able to fit on teh DVD so Im assuming the movie filled the entire DVD but if it did then the DVDs Im using are only 4.27 GB

Finally, when I do put in a blank DVD then open up my computer right click on the drive the DVD is in then click on proterpies to see the amount of space on the DVD it the circle graph is completely blue.. free space says 0 bytes and used space says 0 bytes... why is that? If the DVD is blank then shouldnt it say something likes used space 0 bytes and free space (whatever the maximum capacity is)?

To be honest all I ever do is insert the blank dvd then go to file open and open the iso then I click the picture of the dvd and it starts burning. It will over burn the dvd I think to 4.3Gb
