I've been using DVD+R for a while now and they worked perfectly for my computer. Today I just got a pack of 100 of DVD-R and I'm having trouble with them. First off, I used Nero Ultra 7 as my burning program. My DVD drive is capable of handling both DVD+R and DVD-R too. Now the trouble begins when I open up the recode DVD-video application in Nero Startsmart. I would import the folder to the program and let it burn. It would go up to about 2 %to 4%, then it would just pause, like it was buffering. After a while, it would said burning process failed. I don't know why that is. Is it because of the program I'm using? Is Nero only designed for DVD+R? I don't think its the dvd drive because on the box itself, it says both DVD+R and DVD-R. Any thoughts?

Nero works with both + and -
It might just be Nero not liking that part of its software. I'd try a reinstall.

As good as? not in my opinion..

There's DeepBurner and Roxio that i've used before, but both fall short of Nero...but they're worth a shot

yea, i normally don't have a problem with Nero...i did have to upgrade to Nero 7 when i went to x64...and they supplied a free upgrade for 7 to fix problems in Vista

But otherwise all is well and i can burn anything i want.
