Default More Burning Issues

After getting a CD to burn slowly....I'm having more trouble! This one for DVD's too. The discs are burning (you can visibly see they've been burned), but the discs aren't 'closing', I'm getting an error, and thus the discs are burnt but unreadable.

Once again, any advice is appreciated! Thanks.

It seems to me your dvd rom is going bad.. First it stopped burning Cd's at the correct speeds not on to DVD's.. It could be the laser, and more is likely that..You can look around for a slim dvd bruner @ newegg. they are pretty cheap and will fit inside your laptop.

Newegg doesn't ship to Canada

I was able to burn an ISO file with Alcohol, but not an ordinary disc...is this behavior normal for a dying drive?
