my windows xp window media player 11 can't find the cdrom burner.

Did you recently upgrade to 11?
Were you able to locate the CD burner with 11 before, and it stopped?

I have used WMP in the past to burn but since installing WMp11 I have tried to roll back to !0 and even tried to download 10 but it will only let me load WMP11 . Even Easy Cd Creator can't find the either cdrom player to rip music,I hve to use DJ Twist & Burn which I don't like. Thanks

All my media players are having a problem finding any cdroms even to rip music,but the cdroms do work?

Ok, WMP can now find cdroms to rip and play but still can't find GCE-8240b cdrom burner.

Hey CD,

Have you checked your Device Manager to make sure that there aren't any errors in the drivers for that burner?
