i have 2 different dvd burning programs. the first one is roxio cd/dvd and the second is 321 studios X-PRESS. i also have windows media player 11 but don't know if they burn dvd's. nether of the 2 programs won't let me burn dvds. please help.

What is your exact model of dvd burner?
If you have a combo drive - this is only a CD burner, and not a DVD burner...

Are you getting any errors?

i'm not sure exactly but it sayes hypermedia K RW dvd+rewritable. the x-press worked four times then said it could read disk. now it says THE EXCEPTION BREAKPOINT a breakpoint has been reached. (0x80000003) occurred in the application at location 0x7c901230. and the roxio dosen't do any thing.i even tried downloading the dvd43 for the roxio but had no luck with that.

Well that error message relates to everything from games to unheard of accounting packages...

It seems like a generalised error message when Windows doesn't know what's going on.

Try Start -> Run -> sfc /scannow

and then make sure Windows is 100% up to date.
