I have a CD writer/ DVD Rom Combo drive. Will it be able to burn DVDs?
And is DVD just a CD with bigger capacity, not just for movies?

No, unfortunatly a DVD ROM drive will not burn to a DVD. DVDs are entirely diffrent form of storage. They look the same, but your burner knows the diffrence. It will burn a CD, but you can't burn DVDs unless you get a DVD burner. Usually run about $40 or so at Wal-Mart or Best Buy.
