I have tried to burn CD's using, WMP,Real Player,NTI,and Nero.
When I click on 'burn'' with any of these I get the message'' Please insert blank disc in CD drive (E) .Once WMP,NTi... detects new disc it will automatically start burning'' and the CD ejects.
CD drive and IMAPI are enabled.
Also tried driver firmware update but it said all was well and there were no new updates.
PC is Acer 650T Aspire only two months old.
OS is Windows XP

The drive plays CD's and DVd's OK.
Any help appreciated.
