As a hardware technician, I personally don't think my job, especially when it comes to upgrades is particularly hard. Upgrading a CD player for example is normaly, just 4 screws to hold the CD drive in place, a power plug and IDE cable. It's that easy. As soon as you boot with your new DVD-
RAM drive, Windows will pickup your new device automatically. I cant think of any disadvantages to this kind of upgrade.
