I'm not sure if XP Home has this feature or not, but it might be worth while trying to turn off the Windows burning utility and give Nero another shot by itself.

Start -> Run -> services.msc
Scroll down until you reach IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service
Double click on it, and change Startup type: from what it is (probably Manual) to Disabled. Restart your computer and give it a try.

I disabled this service and gave Nero a go, and it worked! Windows still gives the same error message, but the windows writer isn't to my liking anyways.

Thank you everyone who helped me with this issue. I hope that maybe I'll be able to help others.
