Default DVDs burning but not working on DVD player.

I just bought a brand new DVD burner. But.. I don't really know how to use it. I've tried TWO different DVD burner programs and both burned the dvd to where it plays back on my computer, BUT, in my dvd player it skips and has an annoying clicking sound in the background. I even tried to save the files as an ISO and then burn to a DVD, and that doesn't even play in my DVD player (Gets error: "no disc"). Please help, and if you need any more specifications I'll try to give you as much as I can.

The type of DVDs I am trying to write are DVD+Rs.
My DVD player is by no means "old", but then again it is also by no means an "expensive" one- cyberhome.

Hey AS for one day!

Welcome to PCHF. I apologize for the delay in getting back to you, we have been down a few staff members the last couple of weeks.

Great job with the information , can you answer a few questions for me please?

What name brand of DVDs are you using, (I know it's wierd, but it does sometimes make a difference.)

What file format are you using to burn?

What are the programs that you have tried?

Does your DVD drive have any trouble playing other DVDs?

(Sorry, have to ask this one,) are the DVDs you are copying legal? You may be running into copywrite protection.

If you are creating DVDs from say your camera, can you please post the connection type you are using?

Looking forward to your reply,

TTFN

LGW

If you are trying a Dvd with copy protection and you own it! try Dvd Shrink. If you need to get Dvd Extractor then run dvd shrink. Only use for backing up not burning disks you do not own.
