I have two CD writing drives on my Computer both of which have stopped writing today. For some reason everytime I put in a blank disk in either drive and go to write the files to disk it tells me the disks are unusable.

I've tried over 30 different disks and still no joy.

The drives read fine but don't write.

So this burning problem just started out of the blue? Have you just installed any new hardware or software?

Have you checked for malware infection? If not, run the instructions for PreWork in my signature and post back the ewido and HijackThis logs.

Have you tried updating the burning software that you are using? BTW, what is the burning software that you are using?

Are you sure that your updates are all done?

Did you by any chance just change CD namebrands, or types?
