Hey ka_mcginnis,

Slower speed recordings may give you your best chance for a higher quality disc, with lower error rates. At slower speeds, your recorder is able to keep the laser in focus on the recording layer of the disc. The rotation speed is likely to be more consistent and accurate. The tracking servo control in the recorder will have an easier job keeping the laser aligned with the middle of the track. If you think you have problems, and if you have time to burn, slow your burning speed down to 8X, 4X, 2X, or even 1X.

Hope this helps!
