CD & DVD Burning - [Closed] best way to burn dvds posted in the Hardware forums; i just got an dvd burner and was wondering if any one can please tell the the best way to burn dvds when i pick out to make a movie ...

i just got an dvd burner and was wondering if any one can please tell the the best way to burn dvds

when i pick out to make a movie disc there are these options

video quality
hq
sp
lp

plus how many movies would i be able to get on a disc i have dvd+r disc 4.7 gigs.

My burner is an lg germini cd-510 series
the interface support is hdd,cd-r,cd-rw,dvd,dvd-rw,mo,dvd+r,dvd-r

And if you can plus tell me what are the best disc to use

Hey there guns,
  • What software are you using to burn dvd's?
  • What type of videos are you trying to burn (how many hours)?
The best thing to choose would be either video quality or high quality (HQ)

The only problem with copying them in high quality is that you will be able to fit less onto a DVD, for example you would probably only be able to fit two 1 hour videos onto one DVD.

It might be worth trying to create one in hq and one in lp and see how much more you can fit and whether the quality changes.

im running powerproducer 2 gold thats the one that came with it
and im mostly going to buring movies about 1 hour to 2 hours long
mostly dvds

do you know a better software or is this one any good/

i like dvd shrink 3.1 and nero 7 shrink backups the full dvd to your hard drive u can take stuff out like the extra junk or it will shrink it automaticly for u so it can fit on a backup dvd and nero aoutmaticly burns it to a dvd it work great for me no problems at all u can find it on any p2p
