Hey all..I am trying to bring a game to another computer without Internet Access, (The game, Lux) and I burned it, and some maps to this CD-RW. I use Ahead Nero for Data cd's.

Now, I have never used CD RW's so I don't know how much difference there is. I got to the other computer and found it didn't have java. I came back here, downloaded java and renamed it to java.exe.

I then burned it, (I guess?) but it isn't showing up on the CD when I checked it minute ago......
Help?

Yes, I downloaded it from there. I am saying it wont burn onto the CD/wont show up.

You downloaded the "Offline" version ? Ok, have you tried burning it with the XP cd burning tool? Why not try dragging the downloaded file onto your CD and let XP do its work...

Yes I did that. Java is not showing up on the CD.

There are all the files I burned before, and Lux, but the file I am trying to ADD to the disc is not on the disc.

That is strange indeed. If it is the only file that for some strange reason will not show up, do you have another method of transfer, such as a usb data stick?

If not you could always follow Hengis' suggestion of downloading the offline version and burning it to a new blank CD-R. I know it's a bit of a waste of a whole disc, but at least you know it will be there. Make sure you don't run the download on your main PC just 'save as' onto your desktop then right mouse click and choose Send to>CD.
